The ITLA was designed to further the development, registration, and promotion of the Texas Longhorn breed of cattle. It is believed the Texas Longhorn breed of cattle can make an important contribution to the improvement of the cattle industry throughout the world.
Since our founding, we have been dedicated to maintaining breed standards, supporting our members, and ensuring the continued success of Texas Longhorn breeders globally. With over 15,000 registered members, ITLA is the premier organization for Texas Longhorn enthusiasts.

Welcome to CattleDrive, the Texas Longhorn industry’s brand new and most advanced online registration database! Our online system that allows members to register and transfer Texas Longhorns, manage their herds, and access other essential services. ITLA members can login using their existing username or request a new password.
Unique in the Texas Longhorn industry, all 15 ITLA directors are elected by the ITLA’s general membership. The President and Vice President serve 1 year terms, with all others save the Immediate Past President serving 3 year terms. Region 1 is held by the International Director who acts as a liaison between the Board and the ITLA’s members living outside of North America. The United States is divided into Regions 2-9 for representational purposes, with each Region having its own Director. Region 10’s Director represents Canada. Finally, there are two ‘At Large Directors’ on the Board.

We offer the monthly online editions of our magazine, The Longhorn Drover (aka “The Drover”), free to anyone with an interest in Texas Longhorn cattle; whereas all printed editions are mailed to our active members free of charge. The Drover is a great place to advertise and a wonderful educational and informational resource where you can learn more about the Texas Longhorn breed and the events occurring within the International Texas Longhorn Association itself.
